Stephen Lewarne is one of the most senior fiscal advisers and economists working in public finance, macroeconomic stability, and reconstruction. He is a retired partner at Deloitte Consulting U.S., where he was the lead economic technical adviser for the International Donor Organizations Account. Lewarne has led and contributed to over $3 billion in business development and implementation for donor programs in public finance, trade, and global health across the developing world.
Throughout his career, Lewarne has worked with central banks, ministries of finance, trade, and private sector partners on monetary and fiscal policy, exchange rate stabilization, anticorruption, and investments. He’s also been involved in economic reconstruction efforts in fragile and war-torn economies, such as Ukraine, Kosovo, Iraq, Afghanistan, and South Sudan.
